Abstract :
Spectroscopic properties and laser performance of Tm/sup 3+/:KY(WO/sub 4/)/sub 2/ laser crystal were investigated. A maximum output power of 555 mW with a slope efficiency of 53% was obtained under CW diode pumping at 802 nm.
