  • Abstract
    We demonstrate an all-optical XOR gate based on Kerr effect in a single highly-nonlinear fiber. We obtain a 25 dB extinction ratio using 2-km of highly-nonlinear fiber with a nonlinear coefficient of 9.1 W/sup -1/km/sup -1/.
