Abstract
We present the first trace-gas measurements using a novel Cr/sup 2+/:ZnSe laser source emitting in the 2.4 /spl mu/m wavelength region. The detection limits are in the sub-ppmV to few ppmV range. Examples of measurements of ambient air are presented.
