Abstract :
We demonstrate tuning of subpicosecond THz pulses in LiNbO/sub 3/ across the 1.0-4.4 THz range with energies up to 400 pJ and quantum conversion efficiency of 3%. Tunability from 8.5-11.5 THz is predicted in GaP.
