  • Abstract
    Multi-kilowatt, /spl sim/1 ps pulses at 1550 nm are obtained from a fully fiber integrated chirped pulse amplification system using a conventional single-mode EDFA, and an air-core photonic bandgap fiber as the compressor. /spl sim/40/spl times/ pulse compression is obtained.
