Abstract :
We investigated photonic pulse code modulation (PCM) and sigma-delta A/Ds, which utilise optoelectronic comparators. PCM was demonstrated by simulation and experiment. Extending the simulation to a sigma-delta architecture yielded a peak SNR of 50 dB
