Abstract :
By making use of the integration of rule-based reasoning (RBR) and case-based reasoning (CBR), this paper, for the first time, proposes a running mode of intelligent configurator for the design of container crane´s gantry. Then we have constructed the basic frame of the intelligent configuration system based on this running mode, and analyzed the function modules about this system, and built graphics-database, case-database and knowledge-database for this system. In order to give a clear picture illustrating our design, a configuration example about the gantry components is presented.
