Abstract :
This paper presents a stability-based distributed routing protocol for ad hoc networks in this paper, which uses fuzzy linear regression model to predict a more long-live link. The protocol proposes a multi-path routing scheme that computes alternate routes for long-live connections, and switches routes dynamically upon failure of the primary route in order to provide fault-tolerant routing. A framework is described for analytical modeling of the path reliability and the time interval between successive route discoveries. Analytical results show that the multi-path routing optimizes single path´s reliability and prolongs the lifetime of single path.
