Abstract :
A pole-placement approach is described for piece-wise linear systems. It is shown that if the resulting piecewise linear control achieves local stability then it also achieves global stability. This property holds for piece-wise linear controls whether based on state feedback or on dynamic output feedback. Observer based designs and low-order controllers based on projective controls are discussed.
