Abstract
In this paper, two design methods for "anti-windup" (AW)-extensions based on Bode plots are proposed. Most control engineers are familiar with the frequency response characteristics. Therefore, the methods can easily be applied. For applications with a large operating area, a new adaptive structure of the AW-extension is suggested. The influence of measurement noise on control loops with a constrained control signal is also investigated using frequency response characteristics.
