Abstract :
A downlink beamforming method, which has a common pilot channel for coherent detection and a traffic channel for the desired user, is proposed. To solve the phase mismatch between traffic and pilot signals at a desired mobile, the proposed downlink beamforming method considers a cost function of SIR criteria which is solved by a simplex downhill optimization method. The computer simulation showed that the proposed method gives seamless performance in time-varying channels.
