Abstract
Delay-sensitive scheduling algorithm for packet data calls over a 1×EV-DO downlink is proposed. Based on a delay-sensitive scheduling, which mechanism is dividing the packets into time slots during the given time span, we introduce realistic system parameters such as backlog delay and average throughput, and then propose a distributed scheduling algorithm which guarantees the transmission within a delay bound. The performance of this scheduling mechanism is extensively tested with realistic input data. The results are found convincingly affirmative for its practical applicability.
