Abstract :
A dynamic control approach for load target tuning is presented. It consists in adjusting load target thresholds on a sector basis to improve the network performance and to achieve the desired compromises between blocking and dropping rates. Two strategies are considered to improve the blocking rate: the first one is a global strategy that acts upon all the sectors of the network; the second one aims at improving the blocking rate of highly loaded sectors only. A detailed example illustrates the effectiveness of the control strategies. Their global performance is analyzed using blocking-dropping Pareto fronts.
