Abstract :
Recently as demands for the high speed broadband wireless Internet and home networking increase using wireless LAN technology at 2.4/5.3 GHz, indoor radio propagation analysis is important. For experimental analysis we made IEEE802.11a system. Results from the propagation characteristic experiments, conducted in a real indoor environment at 2.4/5.3 GHz, are presented. We describe a simple statistical model for evaluating the path loss. It consists of detailed characterization of path loss model and delay spread of indoor wireless LAN signal having a nominal center frequency of 2.4/5.3 GHz. For analyzing between the performance of the wireless LAN and indoor radio channel characterization, we investigate the throughput characteristics using wireless LAN experiment system (IEEE802.11a/b) at 2.4/5.3 GHz.
