            Abstract :
This paper introduces a channel estimation method used in the multi-band ultra-wideband (UWB) communication system in which RAKE receiver is applied in analog domain in order to make full use of multi-path channel property. This channel estimation method is based on maximum-likelihood (ML) criterion and it practically gets the delay and magnitude of the estimated paths, which is a preferable power convergence of channel impulse response (CIR). Simulation is carried out under the channel model given by IEEE P802.15 working group to verify that under a certain SNR, this method is well effective to this multi-band UWB system.
