Abstract :
The Cornell Theory Center (CTC), a national center for high-performance computing, has been designing and delivering education programs on high-performance computing in traditional workshops for over ten years. With the advent and growth of the World Wide Web, we have been able to expand our training efforts to a distance education format, including online lectures and exercises, communication with CTC consultants and other participants, and logins on CTC´s world-class IBM RS/6000 SP. This description includes workshop design, technical content covered, design of the modules, and participants´ responses.
