Abstract :
This paper provides an overview of two recently completed SAR studies at Astrinm together with a summary of the capabilities of the TSX (TerraSAR-X) satellite. The two studies: HRWS (High Resolution Wide Swath radar) and LCMA (Low Cost Multifeed Antenna) are concerned with novel antenna beam forming concepts for the SAR imaging modes. The pros and cons are discussed and compared with TSX - a SAR with an active phased array antenna
