Abstract :
A beam-forming network is presented for microstrip antenna arrays with cnsec2 antenna pattern for radar applications. It exhibits a large bandwidth of operation, dnal- Linear polarization and utilizes novel compact matching schemes for each individual antenna element. Results are presented for the C-band structure of a dual-frequency antenna array. A similar network has been designed for the L-band. We have achieved a bandwidth of >400 MHz with a VSWR = 1.5 for the overall network, together with 2.5 dB losses. The network is realised in multi-layer LTCC compatible technology.
