Abstract
We derive a solution to a complex Toeplitz+Hankel system of equations which arises in whitening a complex signal. Part of the development is similar to a method developed by Merchant and Parks; the key step is to transform the system into a block-Toeplitz system with 4×4 blocks. An interesting and nonobvious symmetry is then used to reduce the computational complexity roughly by a factor of two.
