            Abstract :
We analyze the performance of the beam reassignment (BR) method, which provides a load sharing to mitigate the hot-spot beam, named hot-beam, of switched beamforming (SBF) array antenna CDMA systems. As a result, it is shown that the feasible range of the traffic load ratio of the hot-beam to the lightly loaded beam, where the total blocking probability of the cell is below 1%, is increased at least 9.49%, 15.19%, and 6.72% when the main beamwidth is 60°, 30°, and 15°, respectively.
