  • Abstract
The performance of a non-coherent digital delay-lock loop (DDLL) for direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DS-SS) signals over Rician fading channels is analyzed. Closed-form expressions for the timing error transition probability density function (PDF) of the Chapman-Kolmogorov (C-K) equation are proposed. The transition PDF is employed to drive the analytical expressions for the steady-state timing error PDF and the mean time to lose lock (MTLL) under the Rician fading circumstances, while the numerical results are confirmed via time-domain computer simulations.
