Abstract :
Smart antenna aided broadband beamforming plays an increasingly important role in wireless communications. The paper investigates blind space-time equalization/equalizers (STE) designed for single-input multi-output (SIMO) systems. Specifically, the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and a soft decision-directed (SDD) scheme, originally derived for low-complexity blind equalization of a single-input single-output (SISO) channel, are combined for employment in the SIMO scenario.
