Abstract :
Knowledge management is a key factor for knowledge-intensive organizations to keep high competencies. Providing process contextual knowledge management can help to reduce a rookie´s learning cycle, improve working efficiency and quality of the experienced ones. This paper discusses about the organization´s contextual knowledge management requirement, and propose a contextual knowledge management solution mainly that includes: a unified ontology framework, which structures discrete knowledge sources into the organization´s global knowledge access capability, an integrated business process mode covering contextual knowledge requirement information, and a contextual knowledge assistant, which is embedded into the process management system and works at running time to detect the context, forwards knowledge access request to the unified ontology framework, and presents corresponding answers to the end user. The whole solution aims at a full reuse of knowledge in legacy systems and keeping system´s scalability to allow a smooth growth of knowledge scope.
