Abstract :
This paper concerns with a design of constrained fuzzy controller for a class of nonlinear continuous stirred tank reactors. While the nonlinear dynamics of stirred tank reactor are described by Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model the controller design is carried out based on the fuzzy model via the so-called parallel distributed compensation scheme. The controller can simultaneously satisfy Lyapunov stability and the condition of constraints on the control input. Moreover, it is shown that design conditions for the stability and the constraints on the control input can be formulated as linear matrix inequality problems. Finally, applying the designed controller, the simulation results of a continuous stirred tank reactor demonstrate the efficiency.
