Abstract :
At the Faculty of Transportation Sciences of the Czech Technical University, ongoing research focuses on understanding the relationship between brain activity and attention level (or vigilance). In a laboratory environment, clinical trials are performed to discover what occurs at the onset of sleep (so called micro-sleeps). A framework for analysis and prediction of micro-sleeps was developed in order to react appropriately in an automated way that is interrupting micro-sleeps and restoring fall vigilance. In the paper the framework was described and the results of testing with an in-depth overview of EEG and its application to the prediction of micro-sleeps.
