Abstract :
A new orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology is presented for narrow band. Bit error rate (BER) and power spectral density (PSD) expressions of the method are also derived. It is shown that the BER of the proposed method is the same as that of the binary phase shift key (BPSK) modulation method, which is the lowest among all the modulation methods. Using an example, it is shown that the PSD bandwidth decreases as the number of bits in the symbol increases. A numerical method is described for generation of the waveforms suitable for this OFDM approach. Matlab simulation results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the theory.
