Abstract
We describe the current research into Bluetooth scatternets at the University of Pretoria. Current research on Bluetooth scatternets focuses on three main areas: topology formation; packet routing; intra-piconet scheduling. Three scatternet topology formation algorithms are examined and compared. Scatternet scheduling algorithms are examined to determine which algorithm provides the best QoS for Bluetooth scatternets. A scatternet routing algorithm is selected based on certain usage requirements
