Abstract
A tower mounted amplifier is normally used to improve cell coverage, capacity and quality of a wireless communication system. An uplink TMA prototype for WCDMA-FDD application has been designed with reasonable result. By means of measured and calculated performance parameters it is shown that the 15dB gain prototype gives cell coverage and capacity improvement of about 180% and 50% respectively.
