Abstract
A modified H shaped antenna is proposed for automotive digital terrestrial reception system. The antennas installed at the top of front and rear windows of a car have gain to the directions perpendicular to the car´s longitudinal axis as well as parallel to it in the horizontal plane. The reception system adopts adaptive array using the Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC) method. The MRC method allows to produce nearly omni-directional radiation pattern by the symmetrical arrangement of the four antennas.
