  • Abstract
    To obtain boosted output voltage simultaneously with large output currents, such as 100 mA, a new high-voltage generator for a-Si TFT-LCD (amorphous silicon thin film transistor liquid crystal display) is proposed. The new proposed generator is constituted of charge-pumping circuits to generate positive and negative high-voltages. The total power efficiency, ηT, is a good value of about 70%, in comparison with the conventional one of around 10%, when the new generator produces +5V/-5V output voltages with +100mA/-100mA output currents from a +3V single power supply voltage.
