Abstract
A novel architecture for WLAN 60 GHz transceiver enables to cancel the phase-noise of local oscillators by transmitting an additional carrier without further degradation. Error-Vectorial-Magnitude and Carrier-twNoise-Ratio measurements demonstrate the signal quality for a QPSK transmission with a 50 Mhps data-rate. Using MMlC VCOs, the performance of this very compact architecture is similar to that of a transceiver including ideal LOS. Further works are under development to improve the spectral efficiency of this topology and to reach potentialities of conventional FDMA systems.
