Abstract :
Compensation structures are proposed in the CPW directional couplers with finite-extent backed conductor. The proposed strnctures are realized the T-type expanded slot and/or modified finite-extent backed conductor in CPW coupled structures. To enhance directivity, inductance is added by T-type slot and modified backed conductor changes capacitance. The proposed CPW directional coupler at 1 GHz has good directivity in simulation and measurement.
