Abstract :
The technique of detecting double talk which is an important subject for adaptive noise cancellers is described in this paper. In order to achieve the purpose, the power change of an error signal is studied. In this paper, experimental results are given to support the theory that the error power change of double talk beginning frames is larger than that of echo changing frames. Using this fact, a method of finding the beginning of double talk frames is introduced, distinguishing them from echo path changing frames. The performance of the method is evaluated by the accuracy of double talk detection and the echo path change detection.
