            Abstract : 
We propose a novel time-hopping (TH) sequences design algorithm for quasi-synchronous time-hopping spread spectrum ultra wideband (THSS-UWB). Based on this algorithm, a new family of two-stage TH sequences with zero correlation zone (ZCZ) is constructed. THSS-UWB systems employing the proposed two-stage ZCZ TH sequences can be without multiple-access interference (MAI) and be more tolerant to the multipath problem when the shifts between sequences are in the range of the ZCZ.
