Report on 32nd Electrical Insulation Conference

The 32nd Electrical Insulation Conference was held from June 8 to 11, 2014 at the Sheraton Downtown hotel in Philadelphia, PA. With the recent joining of the EIC and the International Symposium on Electrical Insulation (ISEI), and a change from biennial to yearly scheduling, this was the first EIC held in an even-numbered year since 1968. In tough economic times we were able to hold the line on attendance, with a total of 196 participants from 25 different countries covering all major continents except Antarctica. A total of 173 abstracts were submitted, resulting in a final program containing 101 papers, 24 of which were presented in the poster session.
