Abstract
A THz gyrotron operating at the second harmonic is being developed in FIR center FU. High magnetic field up to about 23 T produced by a pulse magnet system is applied to a demountable gyrotron tube. The inner diameter and the length of the cavity are 3.9 mm and 10.0 mm, respectively. The TE6.11 cavity mode was selected as a candidate for the second harmonic operation at 1.007 THz.
