  • Abstract
The feasibility of THz-time domain spectroscopy and far-infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy for chemical and physical analysis of petroleum products was investigated in the spectral range of 0.1-19.0 THz. Resonance levels of petroleum samples of commercial gasoline, diesel, and lubricating oil are identified at 464 cm-1, 475 cm-1 and 449 cm-1 respectively.
