            Abstract : 
Robust PI controllers are designed for a benchmark boiler system. The controllers aim to maximize the disturbance rejection performance while keeping the robustness of the closed-loop system to a given degree. The designed PI controllers are shown to achieve better performance and better robustness than a manually tuned decentralized PI controller. The results can serve as a basis for comparison with controllers designed with advanced control techniques.
