Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the H/sub /spl infin// and generalized H/sub 2/ estimation problems for a class of continuous time piecewise linear systems. We present a linear matrix inequality (LMI) based approach to the design of generalized H/sub 2/ and H/sub /spl infin// estimators. Our approach employs S-procedure and partition-dependent slack variables to reduce design conservatism. Examples demonstrate the advantages and good estimation performance of our design.
