Abstract
This paper proposes a new fuzzy adaptive control method for a class of unknown MIMO interconnected systems. Fuzzy identifiers based on if-then fuzzy inference rules approximate the nominal subsystems and the interconnected terms. Stability and robust stability of the close-loop system are studied using Lyapunov stability and singularity disturbance theory. The structure of the adaptive fuzzy controller is simple and easy to implement. Simulation results on the control of a model of a nonlinear electrical machine are presented.
