Abstract :
Various ways of preparation of uniaxially oriented ensembles of nematic droplets including the dispersion of them in a polymer matrix under action of a magnetic field are discussed. The required processing equipment was developed. The technique of preparation of uniaxially arranged composite films in a magnetic field was developed where liquid crystals were encapsulated by emulsifying in polymer. The samples of uniaxially oriented films were prepared; their textures, structural arrangement and macroscopic optical properties were analyzed.
