Abstract :
Modeling technique of an axisymmetric transient electromagnetic field, induced by current impulse in a vertical current line (VCL), using the vector finite element method is considered. The comparison of an efficiency of the vector and scalar finite element methods for solving axisymmetric problems with non-cased and cased wells is presented.
