Abstract
In this paper the authors present the results of a study on the use of multiple converter operating in interleaved mode to reduce harmonics and the size of reactive components. DC-DC converter and AC/DC converters with integrating power factor correction operation are discussed. A case study of an interleaved boost power factor converter is analyzed and the simulation and experimental results are presented. The results show the positive impact of the integration of another active device in the circuit to help reducing the harmonics on the supply side.
