Abstract :
In this paper design and realization of an L-band helical antenna is presented. This paper describes how to produce a helical antenna for frequencies around 1.8 GHz and presents some characteristics of the antenna found experimentally. Design parameters have been calculated by using standard formulation. For maximizing performance of the helical antenna, attention was focused on such important parameters as the beamwidth, the gain, the impedance and the axial ratio
