Abstract :
With the development of the power supplies, more various new requirements for testing the power supplies have been put forward. In this paper a new electronic load has been designed, whose main circuit is made up of DC/DC converter and DC/AC converter. The controller of DC/DC converter is an analog controller based on UCC3895. And the controller of DC/AC converter is a digital controller based on DSP. The combination of analog control and digital control can make the design and the debugging of the control system easy, and also can improve the reliability of the whole system. The electronic load can take the place of a practical load, which has smaller size and can reduce much of the energy dissipation during aging testing of power supplies. Two full bridge converters are used to build DC/DC converter and DC/AC converter. It is easy for this kind of structure to expand its functions in the future, which has strong adaptability. The experiment of a sample with the input of 12 V/5 A verifies the feasibility of the design.
