Abstract
In 1979 Fleming and Viot (1979) introduced a new class of Markov processes which had for state space a set of probability measures. This process was called the Fleming-Viot process. It models the evolution of the distribution of genetic types (alleles) in a population regarding the contribution of both mutation and selection. The aim in this paper is to obtain a jump-type Fleming-Viot process which also includes selection. This extension will follow by the use of a Girsanov transformation and duality.
