Abstract :
This paper presents a novel control strategy for the optimization of both energy efficiency and torque response of the induction motor system. The strategy combines the method of field oriented control with decoupled control on synchronously rotating reference frame. Furthermore, the torque command of the torque loop is set based on the idea of optimizing slip control and maximum torque per ampere control. As the results, the torque controller not only improves the efficiency of induction motors both in steady and transient states, but also provides good torque response. Analysis and simulation results confirm the validity of the strategy.
