  • Abstract
In this paper, we describe the implementation of a virtval factory communication system (VFCS) using the manufacturing message specification (MMS) standard and its application to networked factory machines. In particular, a number of virtual networked machines based on the MMS companion standard (MMS-CS) are implemented to create a virtual networked factory environment. For an application to the networked factory machine, a numerical command (NC) machine is used. The implemented system can be used as a design framework of an MMS system for a practical plant.
