Abstract
This paper describes a new approach to design OTA amplifiers, based on the well-known feedback control systems theory and on the response of a LTI system to a unit step. It is possible to specify the signal transient from the definition of overshoot and settling time. Consequently, from the proposed approach it can be verified that phase margin, unit gain frequency, DC gain and slew rate are functions of the natural oscillating frequency and the damping coefficient.
