Modeling of a data warehouse system for environmental information

This paper describes how a data warehouse can be constructed step-by-step froin a collection of relevant queries to a logical data model and its implementation. The method presented here is based on a combination of several well-known procedures, particularly use of index numbers and the object-type method. The background of this research is a cast study in the environmnental planning department of a larger-sized German automobile industry company.
